Steep Bank Beach

A quiet beach on Deer Isle — family-friendly, surrounded by climbable rocks, with picnic tables and charcoal grills nearby. Clean water, good for swimming. At low tide there's a small sandbar to cross to a neighboring area. Not as well-known as Sand Beach in Stonington, which makes it a bit less crowded.
