A 24-acre Island Heritage Trust preserve on N. Deer Isle Road — an old farm with open meadows, wooded areas, and a shingle beach on Eggemoggin Reach. About 1.5 miles of easy trails through varied habitat: beach, brackish marsh, shrub-marsh, alder thicket, spruce-fir forest, and aspen-birch woodland. One of the best birding spots on the island. No dogs.
