The best beach on the island, about a mile and a half west of Stonington village on Sand Beach Road. Sandy shore, big rocks, clear(ish) water, and typically not crowded. This is the one you hear locals talk about — worth the short drive out from Stonington. Mossy trails nearby if you want to explore beyond the beach itself.
